Clinical and Translational Science (CTSI) Day

CTSI Day is offered by the Clinical and Translational Science Institute.  It includes a Translational and LHS Scholar Showcase in which K12 scholars, T32 trainees, and pilot awardees will present their research in a poster session. There will also be specialty workshops and information sessions throughout the day focusing on CTSI programs and resources.

The annual Research Awards recognize peer-nominated investigators and staff across Wake Forest University School of Medicine and Advocate Health for their exceptional contributions to research across 15 distinct categories. Graduate Student and Postdoctoral Research Day

This in-person event hosted by the Wake Forest University School of Medicine Biomedical Graduate School promotes the outstanding research of graduate student researchers and postdoctoral fellows, the engines of discovery science. Three events are scheduled: postdoctoral research data blitz from 12-2 PM, traditional poster presentation from 2-4 PM, 3-minute thesis competition from 3-4 PM, and awards and reception from 4-5 PM

Translational Research Workshop

Sponsored by the Wake Forest University School of Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center, this event will describe the approaches that researchers use to translate their work. Experts will describe pathways for translation, institutional resources, and mechanisms of external support including the North Carolina Biotechnology Center and SBIR/STTR funding. Keynote presentations will include Dr. Kevin Hiatt (Radiology) and Kimberly Kelly (UVA, Biomedical Engineering) – who will describe their experiences in translating research.
